The SRTF Delivers Six Ambulances and Medical Equipment to Northern Aleppo
Turkey – Friday, 9 August 2019 - The SRTF Management Unit (MU) announced further deliveries to the implementing entity (IE) as part of its: "Supporting Health Services in the North Aleppo Countryside" project today. The delivery included six fully equipped ambulances and cardiology equipment namely; cardiology ultrasonography and a cardiology stress test machine.
The project aims to support the IE to enhance essential health services in the northern Aleppo countryside. Under this project, three hospitals, a number of health centers and ambulances will be delivered and rehabilitated in addition to a supply of medical equipment and consumables.
On this update, the SRTF director general Eng. Hani Khabbaz commented saying: “The SRTF projects in northern Aleppo are making steady progress supporting the restoration of essential services in six sectors in addition to the Health sector and we pride ourselves in doing so while improving local capacities which is central feature of every SRTF project.”
The project is due to complete its implementation within a period of 24 months at a total budget of EUR 3.4 million. By filling critical gaps in the health infrastructure, this project is expected to impact an estimated 80,000 patients, indirectly benefiting over 400,000 people in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
