The SRTF Delivers Oxygen Generators to Hospitals in Idleb and Aleppo Governorates

Gaziantep – Wednesday, 25 November 2015 – The SRTF Management Unit delivered three sets of oxygen generators for hospitals in the Governorates of Idleb and Aleppo today. Representatives of the Implementing Entities received the shipment, which is part of two SRTF projects in the health sector, at a zero point on the Turkish-Syrian borders.

Every one of these oxygen generator units is capable of filling 25 cylinders each carrying 40 liters of medical oxygen per day. The units will cover the needs of the receiving hospitals while also filling cylinders used by other hospitals in adjacent areas. The air compressors of these units are oil free, which makes them more economic and less vulnerable to breakdowns.

The two projects, under which these units were delivered, are “Support to Health Services at Hospitals in Idleb Governorate” and “Support of Health Services at a hospital in a city of Aleppo Governorate”. They aim to boost the health services of selected hospitals in the two governorates to the direct benefit of some 110,000 people.
