The SRTF Delivers an Agricultural Tractor to a Village in Aleppo Governorate

Turkey – Sunday, 25 September 2016 – The SRTF Management Unit today delivered an agricultural tractor with a trailer to the implementing entity of its “Filling the Void” project for a village in Aleppo Governorate. The delivery took place at a zero point on the Turkish-Syrian borders in coordination with the Turkish authorities.

Worth approximately EUR 3 million, the project is ensuring a rapid response to the needs of recently liberated areas in various sectors, including agriculture among others. The project has already intervened in other sectors delivering essential equipment to IEs in these areas so that they can provide vital services to the Syrian people. Such equipment includes: pipes, pumps, and tools for water repairs; small earth moving machines for road repair and solid waste management; basic tools for repairing electricity networks; furniture and prefab units for the education and health sectors; and medical goods and consumables for the health sector.
