The SRTF Delivers Water Pipes and Hospital Furniture to Aleppo’s Northern Countryside

Turkey – Saturday, 14 October 2017 – The SRTF Management Unit delivered high density polyethylene water pipes and hospital furniture for rehabilitation works on local water distribution networks and health services in the northern Aleppo countryside today. The shipment, which was carried out under the SRTF "Filling the Void project, included a large quantity of polyethylene pipes of different diameter sizes as well as hospital beds, examination couches, mobile stretchers and other hospital accessories.

The project was developed as a rapid response mechanism to deal with the extensive damage incurred by public services and infrastructure during conflict. Much of the damaged infrastructure affects sectors that the SRTF seeks to rehabilitate (i.e., water and sanitation networks, waste management services, health services, electricity networks, and educational facilities).
