The SRTF participates in the 6th Meeting of the Core Donor Group on the Syrian Crisis

Brussels - 29 May 2015 – The SRTF participated as a “Donor” in the 6^th Meeting of the Core Donor Group on the Syrian Crisis hosted by the European Commission on Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations in Brussels today. Mr. Hani Khabbaz, Director General of the SRTF Management Unit presented to the meeting an update on the current SRTF operational activities and projects delivery in Syria.

The meeting tackled a large number of issues at both regional and country levels, including the humanitarian situation and response, resilience aspects, city and neighborhood profiling in Syria and non-humanitarian support inside Syria. The discussions also focused on issues and lessons learned from donors on alignment and coordination of humanitarian and development assistance to the Syrian people, including the SRTF interventions.
