The SRTF Delivers Water Pumps and Accessories for a Distribution Network in Idleb Governorate

Turkey – Wednesday, 1 February 2017 – The SRTF Management Unit today delivered the first shipment of water pumps and accessories to the implementing entity of its “Rehabilitation of a Water Supply Network in a City in Idleb Governorate – Area 1” project. The shipment includes nine submersible pumps, one horizontal pump, two vertical pumps and three chlorine dosing pumps. The delivery took place at a zero point on the Turkish-Syrian border in coordination with Turkish authorities.

The project aims to ensure that potable water services are fully recovered in the project area while providing sustainable access to safe drinking water for 56,000 inhabitants of the city and surrounding areas. The delivered tools and equipment are essential to carry out repair and maintenance works for pumping stations, pipes and distribution infrastructures.
