The SRTF Delivers Spare Parts for Agro Equipment in the Northern Aleppo Governorate
Türkiye – Wednesday, 29th January 2020- As part of its project: “Reestablishing Seed Production and Multiplication Programmes in Aleppo, Idleb, and Hama Governorates", the SRTF delivered a large batch of spare parts and consumables for tractors, harvesters and other equipment to the implementing entity (IE) today.
The delivery included: belts, ball bearings, pumps, filters, harvester knife fingers and various spare parts used in the harvesting and cultivating process. The items will ensure that the agricultural equipment and machinery, that had been supplied to the IE previously, continues to operate efficiently and effectively.
With a total value of about EUR 3.3 million, the project aims to address the shortage of equipment to provide logistical support for seed multiplication and increase grain production in general. It is expected to benefit about 225,000 people including 20,000 farmers directly in targeted areas. The project will also improve living conditions in the entire targeted areas through the availability of food, especially bread and legumes.
