The SRTF Delivers Medical Equipment and Transport Vehicles to Northern Aleppo

Türkiye - Monday, 10th February 2020 - As part of the SRTF’s efforts to support health services in northern Aleppo countryside, the SRTF Management Unit (MU) made a new delivery consisting of medical equipment and two transport vehicles to the implementing entity (IE) of its project: "Supporting Health Services in the North Aleppo Countryside" today.

The delivery included two ventilators with their accessories which will be used in the pediatric intensive care department, as well as, a portable (pocket size) echography device (ECO).In addition,  some orthopaedic surgery tools were delivered to be used in operating rooms within the SRTF funded hospital which has been restored and expanded under this project. Furthermore, the SRTF provided the IE with two transport to be used for the distribution of medicines and medical consumables from the IE’s warehouses to hospitals and medical centers in the targeted areas.

With a total budget of € 3.4 million, the project will rehabilitate three hospitals and a numbers of health centers in the northern countryside of Aleppo. It is expected that the project will benefit approximately 80,000 patients directly and more than 400,000 people indirectly from the target area of the project.
