Delivery of Agricultural Tractors and Equipment to Support Livestock Production in Northern Aleppo Governorate

Türkiye - Tuesday, 11^th  February 2020- The SRTF’s management unit (MU) announced a new delivery today consisting of four tractors, two water tankers and a batch of spare parts to the implementing entity (IE) of its project: “Supporting the Recovery of Livestock Production in Northern Aleppo Governorate”. as part of the SRTF’s efforts to support livestock production in the governorate.

The project aims to enhance the livelihoods of the local population by supporting this sector,  and  cultivating and securing feed for livestock keepers which will secure basic food items in local markets, as well as, the availability of crop that can then be sold to generate income for the beneficiaries looking to secure necessary food supplies.

 In terms of impact on beneficiaries, the project is expected to improve the living conditions of an estimated 20,300 livestock farmers and their families, strengthen the economic situations of the rural poor and improve the broader food security situation in the target areas. Indirectly, the project is expected to benefit 120,000 individuals.
