The SRTF Delivers Agrochemicals to Two of its Projects in Northern Aleppo

Türkiye - Wednesday, 4^th March 2020- The SRTF’s management unit (MU) announced two deliveries of agrochemicals to one agriculture project “Reestablishing Seed Production and Multiplication Programmes in Aleppo, Idleb, and Hama Governorates” and to one food security project “Complementary Project for Enhancing Food Security in the North of Aleppo Governorate – Phase II”.

The deliveries were made northern Aleppo and consisted of: 10.000 liters of fungicide for seed treatment before planting for the first project, and 1000 kg of pesticide for seed fumigation, 750 kg of rodenticide, and 600 liters of pesticide for warehouses & storage insect control for the latter. The supplied chemicals are in full compliance with applicable sanctions and are safe for the environment.  

The two projects together already have a significant impact on the lives of the people living in the targeted areas. The first project aims to directly benefit some 6.750 family members of contracted farmers, while an expected 175.000 persons will benefit each month from the increased production of bread for the second project.
