The SRTF Delivers Safety Work Clothes to its Agriculture Project in the North of Aleppo Governorate
Türkiye - Tuesday, January 26, 2021 – The SRTF announced the delivery of safety work clothes to its project, “Agriculture Support to Farmers in Northern Aleppo”, today. Received by the implementing entity (IE) of the project, the delivery, consisting of 2,490 pieces of coveralls, rubber gloves, reflecting waterproof coats, safety glasses (goggles), dust masks, caps, vests, and safety leather shoes, will be used by around 69 IE staff members and farmers handling and/or working with chemicals or fertilizers.
At a total budget of EUR 2.4 million, around 7,500 households (around 45,000 people) are expected to be direct beneficiaries of this project and have improved access to agricultural inputs, while at least 37,500 people indirectly benefit from this project. When completed, the project aims to help set up 1,500 self-managed, economically viable crop farms with access to suppliers, relevant business service providers, and the local market.
