Civil Works Begin for an SRTF Electricity Intervention in Ar-Raqqa

Ar-Raqqa – Thursday, May 20, 2021 – The SRTF reported that the civil works for its electricity intervention, “Rehabilitation of Power Transforming Centers in Raqqa City – Phase II”, have begun in an announced made today. The civil works include repairing the doors and windows of the transforming centers, plastering the walls, and building partition walls to prepare the room for the installation of the transformers.

The main activities under this intervention include the rehabilitation of the medium voltage network, the rehabilitation of 14 power transforming centers, as well as the rehabilitation of overhead and underground low voltage networks.

These facilities will offer improved living conditions to the targeted neighborhood, benefiting around 30,000 residents who will have access to improved services. This intervention has a budget of EUR 1.5 million and is expected to be completed in nine months.
