An SRTF Health intervention Receives 3D printers and Equipment for its Prosthetics Centers in Northeast Syria
Northeast Syria – Tuesday, November 30, 2021- The SRTF announced that its intervention “Establishing Three prosthetics Centers in Northeast Syria” has received 3D printers and other equipment today.
The delivery consisted of five professional high quality 3D printers, one iPad, one 3D scanner, 10 leg prosthetic set, and 50 filament rolls which will help in creating parts of the extremities needed for patients who lost their limbs as result of the ongoing conflict in Northeast Syria (NES).
This intervention has a duration of eight months, where the first two months were spent setting up the centers in Ar-Raqqa, Deir Ez-Zor, and Al-Hasakeh, hiring, and train the staff, while the last six months the centers will be fully operational. With a budget of EUR 321,640, this intervention is estimated to benefit 1,260 amputees and their families.
