Türkiye’ – Friday, 4 February 2022– The SRTF announced the approval of a new health intervention: “Support to Five Primary Health Care Clinics and Two Dialysis Centers in Deir ez-Zor and Ar-Raqqa Governorates” under its Stabilization, filling the void (FtV) programme today.
This project aims to provide support to five primary health care centres and two dialysis centres in Ar-Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor governorates in Northeast Syria with the aim to fulfil the two main goals: to increase access to primary health care services by supporting five primary health care centres in Ar-Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor governorates with medication, consumables and needed equipment; and increase access to the quality of haemodialysis care services by supporting two dialysis units at two different locations with medication, dialysis kits and equipment.
As a result, the five primary health care centres will be fully equipped and provided with medication and consumables that are procured and stored using the highest standards. To ensure that, the intervention will recruit staff for a warehouse that will also be fully equipped to store all medication and consumables shipments under standard, agreed upon measures. Moreover, the two supported dialysis centres will be fully equipped during the intervention’s life eight-month cycle to carry out 4,752 weekly sessions for patients.
With a total budget of EUR 1.3 million, this eight month long intervention is expected to benefit around 171, 360 patients directly and 984,798 patients indirectly.
