The SRTF Delivers One Pickup Truck and Five Motorcycles under a Cash-for-Work Project in Northern Aleppo

Türkiye – Thursday, 8 June 2023 – The SRTF delivered one pickup truck and five motorcycles under its Cash-for-Work project: “Rehabilitation of Ten Schools in Rural Areas of Northern Aleppo – Phase I” which will be used to transport staff members from the Implementing Entity (IE) between the different project locations.

This project aims to promote individuals’ livelihoods as well as provide economic stability and a safe learning environment for students at these schools. This is achieved through the provision of cash-for-work job opportunities to unskilled and semi-skilled workers, as they earn income from rehabilitation works at 10 schools, allowing them to secure their basic needs, while also providing students with a safe and well-equipped learning environment.

With a budget of EUR 1 million, the project will directly benefit 6,010 individuals and around 30,050 of their family members indirectly, over a duration of 24 months.
