The SRTF Approves EUR 2.6 million to Support two New Health Projects in Northern Syria
Amman - Monday, 18 November 2024 - The Syria Recovery Trust Fund (SRTF) approved new phases of two health projects under the Recovery and Stabilisation Programmes, increasing the Fund's total approved projects to 75 with a budget of EUR 276.6 million.
These new health phases will expand essential services for over 270,000 people. The "Primary Health Care Services in Deir-ez-Zor - Phase IV," with a budget of EUR 1.73 million, will support health centres, mobile clinics, and hospital rehabilitation to benefit 185,700 residents. Meanwhile, Phase IV of the "Support for Health Services in Northern Aleppo" allocates EUR 830,000 to fund an ambulance network, primary health centres, a Burns Hospital, and a laboratory, impacting 85,830 individuals.
Eng. Khabbaz expressed pride in the SRTF’s continued impact, stating: “These new health initiatives strengthen our commitment to providing critical healthcare access, building resilience, and addressing urgent needs across Northern Syria.”
