Denmark Contributes EUR 2.41 Million to the SRTF for Northeast Syria Efforts
Amman - Friday, 19 July 2024 - The Syria Recovery Trust Fund (SRTF) is excited to announce the receipt of a new contribution from the Kingdom of Denmark, amounting to approximately EUR 2.41 million. This marks Denmark’s second contribution this year and its 10th contribution since the Fund’s inception, bringing its total contributions to an estimated EUR 26.73 million. Collectively, contributions from all 12 donor countries now total around EUR 353.6 million.
This latest contribution is earmarked to support the activities under the Filling the Void project in Northeast Syria.
The SRTF’s Director General, Eng. Hani Khabbaz, added: “We deeply appreciate the Kingdom of Denmark’s steadfast support and the enduring generosity of its people. This second contribution this year empowers the SRTF to continue its essential activities across Northeast Syria, aimed at easing the hardships faced by the Syrian people. It also strengthens our efforts to ensure lasting impact and sustainability in our programs, ultimately benefitting future generations in Syria.”
